Corporate Philosophy

Respectable and
Eccentric

The term “eccentric” encompasses both unique and
ever-changing individuals.
Beyond the Wings.
We will continue to enjoy taking on challenges
in new fields and embracing constant change.

Become
respectable individuals

Through our work, we aim to refine our character by interacting with customers, clients, superiors, and subordinates, with the goal of becoming respectable individuals with charm.
We are determined to become more respectable, make daily efforts, seek continuous improvement, and accumulate knowledge, all with the aim of personal growth as human beings.

Cheerful, energetic,
and a little eccentric

The term “eccentric,” to which we aspire, has two meanings: ‘being unique and interesting’ and ‘constantly changing.’ With our sincere service and vibrant smiles, we strive to pursue the essence of being cheerful, energetic, and a little eccentric in order to satisfy our customers and bring them even more enjoyment.

Our joy lies in hearing feedback like “That was delicious,” “That was fun,” and “Thank you.”
Fueled by that joy, we strive for personal growth through our work.

We hope to spread smiles to the world,
from a single chicken wing.
We aspire to become a global food Company.

We want to be the driving force behind spreading our wings and soaring into the world. Such aspirations have been instilled in our message of “Beyond the Wings.” S.Y. Food started off as a small 13-seat, 13m² stall called “Kushi-katsu Yakitori Yamachan.” Today, we operate various types of businesses centered on the Sekai no Yamachan brand, which is known for its “Maboroshi no Tebasaki (Phantom Chicken Wings).” Going forward, we will not only develop new stores and new brands, but also take on the challenge of expanding into a wide variety of food and beverage-related businesses.

Food and Beverage

Bringing our Maboroshi no Pepper (Phantom Pepper) to the world

We began as a small shop resembling a food stall. After 33 years of expanding our shops, we were able to spread our wings from Nagoya and make our way overseas, all thanks to the smiles of our customers who found our food delicious.

The addictive spiciness and flavors of the Phantom Pepper and Secret Sauce used in the Sekai no Yamachan Maboroshi no Tebasaki (Phantom Chicken Wings) captivate everyone. The spiciness of the pepper is the most satisfying part of the wings, attracting Yamachan fans throughout Japan and around the world.

Through food, we continue striving to become a “Global Food Company” that delivers delicious flavors and smiles to more people.

Bringing Sekai no Yamachan to the world

「The name “Sekai no Yamachan” came about as a joke from one of our employees.
Our first restaurant was called “Yamachan”, but the employee would playfully answer the phone saying, “This is Sekai no Yamachan!” which led to the use of the name.

“Yamachan!” “山將!” ”ยามะจัง!” “Яма-чан” We will leverage our delicious chicken wings and unique character “Tori-Otoko,” along with our brand image and recognition, to gain a strong advantage in acquiring customers and continue to conquer the world.

External Sales

Bringing Maboroshi no Tebasaki (Phantom Chicken Wings) to all of Japan

We often receive delightful requests to open a Yamachan store in certain areas. Although this brings us great joy, we are unable to fulfill every request.

Making Maboroshi no Tebasaki available at local supermarkets and stores allows us to deliver our delicious flavors and smiles to even more people. That’s why we started developing products for external sales.

The chicken wings served at our restaurants are delicious, but there’s also joy in leisurely enjoying them at home.
We will continue developing various products so that everyone can savor the charm of our Maboroshi no Pepper (Phantom Pepper) even more.

Event and Food Trucks

Even without a physical store, tables, or chairs, Yama-chan from around the world will come to your town for events and festivals with our mobile kitchen trucks. Our signature menu item, the ‘Mystical Tulip’ fried chicken, is easy to enjoy with one hand that’s a hit with both kids and adults
